Francesco Pisano is no longer the coach of Cagliari Under-20.

The news comes two days after the match lost against Torino in the midweek round and with the team second to last in the Primavera 1 championship standings and 7 points from direct safety.

Along with the coach , assistant coach Alessio Rubicini and goalkeeping coach Simone Di Franco were also relieved of their duties.

Alberto Gallego will take over as the new technical director. Born in 1974, he joined the Rossoblu in the summer of 2025, joining the first team staff as Fabio Pisacane's technical assistant. He will be joined by Stefano Medda, born in 1977, who, after coaching Cagliari's Under-16 team, served as technical assistant for the Under-20 team. Christian Berretta will be the goalkeeping coach, while Antonio Fais, the athletic trainer, and Manuel Contu, the match analyst, will remain in their respective roles.

Roberto Muzzi, a key figure in the club's scouting efforts, also returns as technical coordinator. He held that role until the summer of 2025, contributing—along with Medda and Berretta—to the club's Coppa Italia victory.
