«Prizes? I've always been reluctant, even though I've won hundreds around the world. The career ones, then, make me smile. It seems that everything is over, while I am in the midst of my working activity: I have two or three projects in mind as a director, and a musical one between Mexico and Cuba", he says in the interview on newsstands today in L'Unione Sarda Nero - Francesco Sparanero, born in 1941 - protagonist of famous films, from "Django" to "The Day of the Owl", from "The Crime of Matteotti" to "Force 10 from Navarone" and "Young Toscanini", and more recently "Django Unchained" ("I made a small cameo", he says) by Quentin Tarantino and "The Pope's Exorcist" with Russell Crowe, directed in 60 years of career, for a total of almost 250 films, by directors of the calibre of (among others) Sergio Corbucci, John Houston, Damiano Damiani, Elio Petri, Claude Chabrol, Luis Buñuel and Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and actor of successful television series in Italy and abroad (see “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”).
The actor from Parma will be interviewed by journalist Sergio Naitza and will be the protagonist of a musical moment with jazz musician Lino Patruno, who with his group and soloist Marco Argiolas on clarinet will involve him in some songs from the swing repertoire of the 30s in a truly special mini concert. Free entry to the event.
The award to Franco Nero is part of the program of the Short Film Award "Three Minutes of Fame in Cagliari" , a festival that won the calls for tenders of the Cinema Law of the Sardinia Region and the artistic projects of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cagliari.
