The season is over for Leonardo Pavoletti, who underwent surgery at Villa Stuart for a knee problem.

Cagliari Calcio announced this in a statement, which reads: "Following specialist visits, today the footballer Leonardo Pavoletti underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee."

"The joint cleaning operation," the club continues, "was performed at the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani, in the presence of the Club's medical director, Marco Scorcu, and was a complete success."

On social media, the club also dedicated a message of affection to Pavoletti: "Good luck, Captain!"
