"It takes courage and clarity. Winning is our goal, but we have to be good at controlling the race. We can't chase the event."
The break has brought Fabio Pisacane back, more fired up than ever and officially a Serie A coach after obtaining his UEFA Pro license at Coverciano . The Cagliari coach is champing at the bit ahead of Saturday afternoon's match at the Unipol Domus against Parma . "We're facing a well-equipped team that knows exactly what they want. A team with a quality transition," he warns.
"We must therefore be good at not overstretching ourselves, at staying compact. It will be a difficult match, like all the others in Serie A," he then takes care to point out.
On the new arrivals: "I'm happy, we've brought in players with energy." On Belotti in particular: "Andrea chose us despite making some significant sacrifices, and that's a source of pride for us. He's in good physical shape, much better than I thought . And yes, he can even start." Zappa is recovered ("We managed a bruise during the week, he's fully available"), while Luvumbo is out ("we're losing an important arrow in our quiver").
