Work protection, regular and safe, especially in contracts and subcontracts.
This is one of the key points, together with social responsibility, collective bargaining and fair competition, of the memorandum of understanding on works contracts, supplies and concessions signed this morning at Palazzo Bacaredda by the Municipality of Cagliari and by Cgil, Cisl and Uil.
In the last two years, the administration has allocated 60 million investments to businesses, excluding supplies and maintenance.
"A document for the dignity of work to be protected - said the mayor Paolo Truzzu -, we must offer everyone an opportunity but it is also important to emphasize dignity in work".
The trade unions are satisfied: "Very often contracts are a jungle, but even this document sets certain limits," explained Carmelo Farci of the CGIL.
The agreement renews and strengthens the one approved ten years ago. As part of the agreement, a permanent observatory will be set up consisting of the mayor and the general secretaries of the confederal unions.
"We positively evaluate this agreement especially in terms of social responsibility - commented Mimmo Contu of the CISL -, our goal is to extend this agreement also to the metropolitan city".
"The Municipality has shown great sensitivity on this issue - added Andrea Lai of Uil - This protocol is the first step: we hope to be able to extend this act to other Municipalities in a delicate period like this and above all in view of the restart".
