Cagliari blinds one of the young rookies of this season.

Christos Kourfalidis, born in 2002, a Greek from Thessaloniki, has signed a contract with the rossoblù club until 2026.

The midfielder, after playing in the Cagliari Under 17 team in the 2018-19 season, moved on loan to Serie D in Foggia where he made 24 appearances. Back at the base, he became captain of the rossoblù Primavera earning the chance to make his debut in the first team.

On 15 December he started in the Italian Cup match against Cittadella, confirmed in the opening eleven by Mr. Mazzarri also in the next round against Sassuolo. He made his Serie A debut on January 23 against Fiorentina; thrown into the fray in the final minutes of the Bergamo company on February 6, he nearly scored the possible 3-1.

"Twenty years still to be completed, ample room for improvement, a future to live with the Cagliari shirt", writes the rossoblù club in a note.
