The share of American investors in Cagliari Calcio is increasing.

Fluorsid Group, according to a company statement, has completed the sale of a further 29% stake in the company's share capital to the group owned by Maurizio Fiori and Prashant Gupta.

The new partners thus strengthen their position, despite remaining in the minority: they now hold 49% of the club's share capital.

"The transaction," reads a statement from Cagliari Calcio, "is part of the Club's strategic growth and development strategy and consolidates a partnership founded on a shared industrial vision. The collaboration is aimed at supporting the new stadium project and strengthening Cagliari Calcio's structure, capital, and organizational structure, within a framework of full management continuity."

Maurizio Fiori, born in 1972 in Carbonia, moved to the United States in 1990: "For me, it's not just an investment, but a privilege and a profoundly valuable responsibility," he said in November after acquiring an initial minority stake in the Rossoblu club. "As a proud Sardinian, this moment carries profound meaning. Cagliari embodies the resilience, passion, and sense of belonging that unites all Sardinians on the island and around the world. I aim to contribute to the club's growth and success, both on and off the field."
