The share of American investors in Cagliari Calcio is increasing.
Fluorsid Group , as stated in a company press release, has completed the sale of a further 29% of the share capital to the group controlled by Maurizio Fiori and Prashant Gupta .
The new partners thus strengthen their position, while remaining in the minority: they now hold 49% of the club's share capital .
"The transaction," reads a statement from Cagliari Calcio, "is part of the strategic growth and development path undertaken by the Club and consolidates a partnership founded on a shared industrial vision. The collaboration is aimed at supporting the new stadium project and strengthening Cagliari Calcio's structure, capital, and organization , within a framework of full management continuity."
Maurizio Fiori, born in 1972 in Carbonia, moved to the United States in 1990: "For me, it's not just an investment, but a privilege and a profoundly valuable responsibility ," he said in November after acquiring an initial minority stake in the Rossoblù club .
