The dedication to Tonino Orrù, the value of the promotion of Cagliari and the return of Claudio Ranieri to the island. The patron of the rossoblù club, Tommaso Giulini , spans the entire field during an institutional meeting with the rector Francesco Mola , who complimented the goal achieved. The president was received at the rectorate of the University of Cagliari, also in the presence of the vice-rector Gianni Fenu and the director general Aldo Urru.

«A promotion which, as it happened», said Giulini, « will remain in the history of Cagliari , Sardinia and its people. We hope that the boys will leave again in a few weeks with the same spirit, pride and adrenaline of this extraordinary adventure».

Then the rossoblù number one moved on to Ranieri : " He found in Cagliari the ideal conditions to work, as happened 33 years ago , we are happy and proud of this". A coach who proved successful on the pitch, but not only. The president also underlined the fairplay of the coach, who stopped the anti-Bari chants at the end of the second leg of the final: «The coach's gesture was a bit like the culmination of all the work done by Cagliari Calcio in recent years to educate young people about positive support , with important social projects for the city and the community such as the support school and the future curve in our stadium, examples of what we want to continue to do in the area».

Examples also shared by the rector Mola: «I want to thank the team for the important goal achieved and for the demonstration of strength and commitment they have shown», he declared. «With the president and the management, we have shared the basis for future agreements between our university and the city team on joint activities and projects that put the social values of sport at the center and involve the student communities.»

Finally, from Giulini, a special thought: « We also dedicate this goal achieved to Tonino Orrù , who left us a few months ago during this season, and to all the family who brought the coach here for the first time. I was lucky enough to know Tonino in the first years of my presidency and I consider him a great example of competence, seriousness, pragmatism and passion».
