A unique performance blending music and theater, where each piece is simply another act in the narrative: on Saturday, November 1st , at the Teatro Massimo, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eugenio Finardi returns to the capital with "Voce Umana – Uno Spettacolo Intimo tra Musica e Parole," a concert piece featuring guitarist Giuvazza Maggiore and directed by Marco Caronna. The performance is scheduled for 9:00 PM and is organized by the cultural association Il Jazzino.
After another breakthrough with the release of his twentieth album, "Tutto," released in May of this year and perhaps considered his last before his well-deserved retirement, Finardi returns to the Teatro Massimo this Saturday with a show structured around a series of "tableaux," each composed of a monologue and a song. The show builds on the reflections, anecdotes, and memories contained within each tableau, masterfully accompanied by their respective songs. A "journey into the power of the voice," which inspires, consoles, and soothes, but can also disturb: and the voices are those of friends and colleagues who have shaped Finardi's life and Italian music in general, such as De André, Franco Battiato, Alice, and Demetrio Stratos, in a tribute to five decades of sharing an art.
But there's also something completely new on the program: a preview of some unreleased tracks from the upcoming concept album by the singer-songwriter , who, contrary to popular belief, has no intention of retiring. Joining Finardi on stage will be the versatile guitarist and sound designer Giovanni "Giuvazza" Maggiore, an active participant in the theatrical performance and soundtrack. Featuring songs steeped in Italian history, introspection, and reflections on themes such as the meaning of life, chance, love, and spirituality, the show presents each scene as a multimedia experience.
