Corto Maltese at Poetto, with the Sella del Diavolo in the background. This is the work that Bob Marongiu, an internationally renowned artist, donated to the Municipality of Cagliari.

During the ceremony, presided over by councilor Maria Dolores Picciau, it was underlined how this contribution considerably enriches the artistic heritage of the city. Enrica Anedda Endrich, president of the Culture Commission, was also present at the event.

«The work, originally created for the exhibition organized by the Department of Culture and Entertainment and hosted at Palazzo di Città between August 2022 and February 2023», recalled the representative of the municipal council, has aroused the interest of the public for its «fusion of iconic and landscape elements». Subsequently exhibited at the Cagliari Airport Library, «the canvas will now find a permanent location in the MeM - Mediateca del Mediterraneo in via Mameli 164, precisely in the Children's Room», thus consolidating its role in the city's culture and beyond.

For his part, Bob Marongiu underlined the importance of integrating art into the daily life of the community.
