The Department of Literature, Languages, and Cultural Heritage at the University of Cagliari has organized a series of meetings with professors and researchers on major humanistic topics, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 21st, at the Cittadella dei Musei.

The initiative aims to create moments in which the world of research opens up to the city: the "Cittadella," in its monumental guise, becomes a "City of Shared Culture," interpreting the university's centuries-old vocation for the circulation of knowledge and fostering interaction between museum interest and the dissemination of knowledge.

The initiative opens with the first cycle, in which teachers and researchers from the fields of modern literature propose a series of meetings on the theme Literatures and Possible Worlds: The Spaces of the Future . The aim is to explore the idea of the city in the various meanings conveyed by space and time, especially in the wake of a multifaceted literary production in Italian and several foreign languages. For the first meeting, Wednesday, October 21st at 5:30 pm, Alessandro Achilli and Fiorenzo Iuliano will speak on the topic "Ghost Cities: Abandonment and transformations of urban space”. The first series of events will continue until December 16th.
