The Scalzi museum is safe. The Municipality of Cabras has decided to grant the "Aqueduct Towers" in Piazza Stagno to the "Is Curridoris di San Salvatore" association. The renewal is for four years. This is stated in Council resolution number 26.
Inside the structure, the association has already set up a permanent exhibition dedicated to the Barefoot Race for some time, managing to attract many tourists, especially during the holidays. There are old photos but also different clothes used for the traditional race. But not only. Last year the members also organized an exhibition outside the structure.
In the blow-ups it was possible to admire everything that only the runners experience while carrying the simulacrum of San Salvatore barefoot from Cabras to the village and vice versa, on the first weekend of September. In the photographs that the association had wanted to install near the Scalzi museum, kindly provided by the many photographers who immortalize every moment every year, they told of that large human snake dressed in white that for seven kilometers crosses the dirt paths of the Sinis without ever stopping, to dissolve a vote.
In the resolution signed by Mayor Andrea Abis we also read the motivation that pushed the Municipality to grant the venue again: «For the promotion of local traditions».
