After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the Corsa degli barezi returns to Cabras.
The highlight is expected between Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 September , with is curridoris with the white habit who will honor the rite by carrying barefoot the simulacrum of the Holy Savior between Santa Maria Assunta and the rural church.
The party will last ten days. It starts on Friday 26 August at dawn with Santu Srabadoeddu carried in procession by women, in traditional dress, from the church of Santa Maria Assunta to the Sanctuary of San Salvatore di Sinis. Thursday 1 September the solemn procession from the sanctuary of San Salvatore to "sa cruxi e zanda".
Saturday 3 we go live. After the recitation of the rosary and the mass presided over by Archbishop Roberto Carboni, at 7.30 is curridoris will take their first running steps , starting from the church of Santa Maria Assunta, to accompany the simulacrum of the saint towards the rural sanctuary of San Salvatore.
