The Council of Ministers has approved the maneuver. The budget bill, the Ministry of Economy Giorgetti says in a note, is "in line with the serious and responsible approach of the economic measures approved so far by the government", and provides for interventions with effects equal, in gross terms, to about 30 billion in 2025, plus 35 billion in 2026 and over 40 billion in 2027.
On pensions, as stated in a note from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, "last year's measures are confirmed and those intended for public and private workers who reach retirement age but remain employed are strengthened." "The maneuver - continues the note - strengthens the bonus intended to support nursery school attendance, also providing for the exclusion of sums relating to the universal single allowance from the ISEE calculation." The budget law also includes a "card for newborns" that recognizes 1,000 euros to parents within the ISEE threshold of 40,000 euros to cover the numerous first expenses for each newborn.
The budget bill also allocates resources to ensure that, after the end of the PNRR, the trend of public investment spending is consistent with the requirements of the new European governance. In particular, it also provides for the strengthening of investments in the defense sector. Prime Minister Meloni is satisfied, who speaks of an intervention "that puts citizens, families and the relaunch of our nation at the center". "As we promised - she added -, there will be no new taxes for citizens".
