From the excavations at the sacred well of Sos Muros , in Buddusò, 160 vague nuragic period necklaces in rock crystal, glass paste and amber come to light. Of every color, light blue and transparent, green, yellow and amber.

This is the largest find of beads in Sardinia , all concentrated in front of the monument's atrium. The discovery took place during the third excavation campaign in the complex of the Nuraghic era, a settlement dating from the end of the Bronze Age and the beginning of the Iron Age.

A little-known village already subject to clandestine excavations in the past, which is located in the middle of a holm oak and cork wood outside the town.

The protagonists of the discovery are the students of archeology from Italian and foreign universities, engaged in training under the scientific direction of the archaeologists Anna Depalmas and Giovanna Fundoni , with the collaboration of Matteo Pischedda.

"Every vague that came to light was a great emotion. It is certainly imported beads - explains Giovanna Fundoni -, the analyzes on the materials will allow us to verify their origin. We will also try to identify through the microscope if any fragments remain of useful thread then to try to reconstruct the necklace or necklaces ".

Among all , a heart-shaped pendant made of rock crystal stands out, which finds only one comparison on the island in the nearby sanctuary of Romanzesu-Bitti and outside Sardinia in the Aegean and the Black Sea. "Necklaces of this type are already known in the nuragic cultic settlements, where they were placed as votive offerings, but the site of Sos Muros - the archaeologist specifies - certainly boasts the primacy for the highest number, and variety, of vague series found in a single context so far ".
