A dispute that had dragged on for over twenty years at the Arnas “G. Brotzu” in Cagliari has been successfully concluded.
The economic equalization process for healthcare personnel has been completed , with the definition of the 2023 and 2024 salaries for both medical management and non-managerial staff.
For medical directors, the 2023 adjustment has already been paid with the December 2025 paycheck.
For the 2024 financial year, the company has confirmed the disbursement of the amounts due with the February 2026 salary. The situation has already been defined, however, for non-managerial staff: the 2023 payments were made in August 2025, while those for 2024 were made in November of the same year.
A result that the President of the Region and interim Health Councillor, Alessandra Todde, defines as a clear change of pace compared to the past .
"It was necessary to correct an injustice that had lasted too long and had led to inequalities that were no longer acceptable," he declared, emphasizing the method adopted, based on discussion, transparency, and sharing with the trade unions.
The signing of the 2024 equalization agreement, reached following a detailed discussion between Arnas and the medical management unions, is crucial in this regard . The agreement now allows for a clear planning of the disbursement of resources, identified in accordance with current contractual provisions and formalized through official company communications.
The completion of equalization for two consecutive years is seen as a concrete sign of discontinuity and as part of a broader process of reorganization and enhancement of the regional healthcare system's professionalism. "Thanks go to the management of Arnas "G. Brotzu" for having met their commitments with punctuality and rigour," added Todde.
Finally, the Region confirms its willingness to continue institutional discussions with the company and the social partners , also with a view to planning resources for future years, with the stated goal of ensuring stability, equity, and sustainability for the Sardinian healthcare system.
