Breakup in Cagliari, Psd'Az leaves the centre-right
The choice for "unacceptable political dynamics". The definitive break after Alessandra Zedda's candidacy as mayor of the capitalPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Alessandra Zedda's candidacy for mayor of Cagliari is liked by the centre-right but not by the Sardinian Action Party which, in the evening, abandoned the coalition. The Psd'Az had its name: Gianni Chessa. But no agreement was reached between the parties. Added to the latest discontent are the arrears, with the rejection - by the coalition - of Christian Solinas' re-nomination as president of the region, who was heading towards a second term. The Quattro Mori party has released a harsh statement with which it makes the rift official: «We record the re-proposal of unacceptable political dynamics and ways which not only offend the values of loyalty and correctness which have belonged to us as sardists for over a century, but which are in contempt of even the most elementary principles of good education and the ways that should represent the common heritage of civil manners and correct forms of both public and private relationships. To the new "ungrammatical grammar" of the Sardinian centre-right, in the meeting in Oristano, some supporters of the failed choice of the presidential candidate in the last regional elections added a grotesque paragraph, namely the one which saw the delegation of the Reformers indicated as the candidate of the coalition in contrast to the candidate proposed by the Psd'Az, the honorable Alessandra Zedda , belonging to the League , a party that is different from that of the Reformers".
«Add to all this – continues the press release – the paradoxical conclusion of the meeting, with which it was decided to entrust the Honorable Michele Cossa (Reformatori) with the task of verifying Zedda's availability for candidacy, in her absence (because they were engaged in a specially agreed bilateral meeting) of the Psd'Az and Lega delegations. All this to better explain the climate and attitude of authentic hostility that the centre-right parties continue to reserve for the Sardinian Action Party. The political consequence is as obvious as it is taken for granted: the Psd'Az will not participate in any of the meetings of the Sardinian centre-right coalition and while awaiting the decisions that the national congress will take in this regard, it will delegate any strictly electoral agreements at the local level to the provincial coordinations and without any partisanship constraints, on the occasion of the upcoming local elections".
