The police commissioner of Florence Maurizio Auriemma signed twenty Daspos against as many Cagliari fans identified by the police after the violent brawl that broke out not far from the Franchi stadium on 2 October, before the Fiorentina-Cagliari match.

This was announced by the Police Headquarters, explaining that other Daspos are already being developed. The measures already adopted, developed by the anti-crime police division of Florence, have a duration of between two and five years of ban on access to places where sporting events take place and are being notified to fans aged between 20 and 56, all reported for brawling.

According to what was reconstructed by the Florentine Digos fan team, shortly before 8pm on 2 October a group of around 40 Cagliari fans improvised a procession in Viale dei Mille, towards the stadium, chanting chants against the Viola supporters and were then joined by around 50 ultras viola.

«At this point - reports the Police Headquarters - about a hundred people would have started a very violent fight», with «belt blows, throwing of bright torches and other blunt objects, including road barriers, supermarket display trolleys, with related goods on display and stones found on the ground."

The intervention of the police then put an end to the brawl. On that occasion, Digos stopped and identified around thirty Cagliari fans, all of whom, according to investigators, could be traced back to the clashes. Further investigations are underway to identify other people involved in various capacities.
