The autopsy ordered by the Prosecutor's Office on the body of Roberta Pitzalis, the 38-year-old from Guasila who died on Friday morning after days of hospitalization for suspected botulism poisoning, has been scheduled for this morning.

Forensic pathologist Matteo Nioi, appointed by public prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia, will have to shed light on the causes of death: the woman, hospitalized in serious condition, initially seemed to have improved, but then her clinical condition deteriorated after she was transferred to another hospital.

Eight people ended up in hospital after ingesting – according to investigators – food with guacamole sauce during the “Fiesta Latina” in Monserrato on July 22.

Four were discharged almost immediately, an 11-year-old boy is hospitalized in very serious conditions at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, and the condition of a 14-year-old girl remains worrying, although stable.
