At the tobacconist's to book a medical visit or pay the ticket for a health service. The service is called "Novacup" and is already active in various Italian regions, it costs from a minimum of 0.50 cents for the cancellation of a booking to 2 euros for a new booking, one euro instead for the ticket. And soon it could also be operational in Sardinia.

The initiative is proposed by the Italian Tobacconist Federation (Fit) and was illustrated today in the fifth and sixth committees gathered in joint session.

"The service has no cost for the Region and is especially useful in small towns where tobacconists perform a social function", explained the delegate of Fit in Sardinia, Massimo Farris. Throughout the region there are 1,298 tobacconists, they remain open at least ten hours a day and, in many cases, also on Sundays and holidays.

"We are present in all 377 Sardinian municipalities - recalled Fit official Matteo Marchetti - our services already allow you to pay the car tax, make phone top-ups, pay domestic utilities. In the capital cities and in the larger centers of the Isola it is also possible to make a chamber or cadastral survey and obtain a registry certificate ".

"With Novacup - he underlined - it will be possible to interface with the health system to pay for a service, book a visit, cancel it or move it to another date".

The proposal will now be evaluated by the regional government.
