Four years after "Giganti," Bonifacio Angius returns to the big screen with a new film, "Confiteor - How I Discovered I Wouldn't Make a Revolution." The final version of the film was completed yesterday at Cinecittà Studios, and will be presented between late August and early September at the Venice International Film Festival , in the Giornate degli Autori - Notti veneziane section, celebrating its 22nd edition. Promoted by the Italian directors' and filmmakers' associations ANAC and 100 autori, Giornate degli Autori was founded in 2004 as an independent event within the Venice Film Festival, modeled after the prestigious Directors' Fortnight in Cannes.

On social media, the Sassari-born director explained: "I've made my most beautiful, greatest, sincere, and free film. I've concluded a journey that spanned almost twenty years with an autobiographical film (not about my personal life)."

Bonifacio Angius also stars (Gianmaria and Antonio as adults), along with Antonio Angius (Antonio), Simonetta Columbu (Meow Meow), Geppi Cucciari (Aunt Anna), Edoardo Pesce (Uncle Raffaele), and Giuliana De Sio (Teresa). The feature film is produced in collaboration with Il Monello Film and the Polish Mosaicon Agresywna Banda, with the support of the Sardinia Region and the Sardinia Film Commission Foundation.
