The fourth film concludes the experience in his hometown of Sassari by Bonifacio Angius . The director himself announced it in a post on social media, noting that "Confiteor - How I Discovered I Wouldn't Make a Revolution" will be in Sardinian theaters starting tomorrow. Angius's fourth feature film received glowing reviews and won the Lizzani Award at the "Notti Veneziane" section of the 82nd Venice Film Festival.
The Sassari-born director admits: "This film is certainly the last one I'll set in Sassari. Although I have an episodic film in production that will include the short "Destino." Over the past fifteen years, I've involved practically everyone in this city who works in the audiovisual world today. I founded a film school and taught at the Academy of Fine Arts. But through the difficulties I've experienced in recent years and the making of this latest film, I've realized the time has come to let go. To let go of the stubbornness that I could create something great here."
Bonifacio Angius closes the post with this: "I'm already leaving for mysterious and boundless places, and I will always carry the island and your love with me deeply. I love you. The film is yours."
