A cultural twinning that managed to reach the city of Odessa , one of the cities targeted by the Russian army offensive since last February 24th.

It is the one born on the initiative of the MAN Museum of Nuoro together with the University Territorial Center of Agrigento, in memory of the Sardinian architect Francesco Carlo Boffo (born in 1796 and died in Odessa on November 10, 1867).

"In view of next spring's exhibition dedicated to Boffo - explains a note from the promoters - the news has arrived in recent days that, thanks to the collaboration with the University of Lviv, MAN and the University of Agrigento will be able to access the Archive of the State of Odessa where documents useful for the scientific reconstruction of the great architect's activity in the land of Ukraine are kept ”.

"Boffo - continues the press release from Man - was in fact the author of the configuration of the main public spaces in Odessa, of some representative buildings and, above all, of the famous staircase that connects the esplanade of the Port to the main square of the city".

MAN will therefore celebrate this prominent figure of Sardinian culture abroad with an unprecedented exhibition which from today also boasts the extraordinary contribution of an institution in Odessa ”.

"Receiving confirmation from Odessa right now - says the president of MAN Tonino Rocca - not only pushes us to continue on the path of this research never conducted before, but also demonstrates the role of culture as an unshakable bridge between countries, beyond every wall. , war and violence. A civil operation, a gesture of brotherhood between peoples ".
