The presence and spread of the blue crab is worrying Sardinia. The regional councilor for agriculture Valeria Satta launched an appeal to the minister Francesco Lollobrigida during a meeting at the Royal Palace of Caserta with the Agricultural Policies Commission.
«We are awaiting the Decree on the blue crab - said Satta - already discussed at the Fisheries Committee table with our trade associations. We are also waiting for further news on the reopening of the compensation table by the Government for the 23-27 programming."
Other topics were also discussed at the summit such as African swine fever, risk management, problems related to water shortages and necessary water reserves and the downy mildew and xylella emergency.
«The Agricultural Policies Commission - added the councilor - in this very important moment for Italian agriculture and fishing, which are truly growing exponentially in terms of quality increasingly sought after throughout the world, needs to go around the Peninsula with targeted meetings in the Italian territory, to better and more thoroughly understand the various problems. At the same time in such a delicate historical period given the problems of the climate and war in Ukraine, we must deal with everything that this entails, especially in terms of price increases, energy, transport and fuel. We started from Campania and will continue the meetings in the other Regions. Now more than ever we work together, close to our farmers, ranchers and fishermen."
