Birori, the artist Gianmario Littera arrives at Casa Sanremo

From Sardinia he will fly to the city of flowers to participate in the next edition of Casa Sanremo Live Box, the great showcase of emerging music. A dream come true for Gianmario Littera, the singer-songwriter from Birori who will perform one of his songs on the stage of the Palafiori on 11 February during the week of the 71st Festival della Canzone Italiana.
«I won access to the Live Box last summer, while participating in The Voice Sardinia – he says -. I will participate with my unreleased "Artist", which talks about a dear friend who left me too soon. I'm very excited, having the opportunity to have one of my songs listen to such a vast audience and a thick jury is a dream I've been pursuing for a long time". Indeed, Casa Sanremo represents the beating heart of the Italian Song Festival , a meeting point for artists, record companies, sponsors, journalists, music critics and industry experts.
"I've been composing music and writing lyrics since I was a kid - continues the artist - and reaching such an important self-taught goal is a great satisfaction".
Born in 1975, Gianmario Littera left the small town of Marghine at the age of 24 to move to Olbia, where he now lives with his wife Sara and their 3 children, working as a clerk. But music has always been in his life, and he devotes a large part of his free time to it.
« Composing songs is my way of expressing emotions , I write almost every day and I always try to improve my voice – says Littera -. Over the years I have taken part in various musical projects, participating in contests and festivals. I have recorded two albums and composed over 50 songs. But my greatest intention - he humbly specifies - is to get excited and to excite those who listen to me, in a frenetic and interconnected world, where there is less and less time to stop and listen».
Casa Sanremo will also be a great opportunity for growth and training. «In addition to the performance, Gianmario will participate in a day of workshops with maestro Ciro Barbato – explains Beniamino Pistidda, president of the "Popular Music School" of Sassari, the official partner school of Casa Sanremo, which selected the Sardinian artist -.
