Bill Gates' latest big investment is in beer, and it also concerns “our” Ichnusa.

In fact, the founder of Microsoft bought 3.8% of Heineken Holding for the sum of 902 million dollars.

It can be seen in a file filed with the AFM (the Dutch financial markets authority): the tycoon bought 6.65 million shares individually and another 4.18 million shares through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust.

Yet Gates has said in the past that he is not a beer lover: «When I find myself at something like a baseball game I drink light beer to at least share the atmosphere with all the other beer drinkers, I'm sorry to disappoint the fans», he had said while answering questions in an Ask Me Anything chat session on Reddit.

As is known, Heineken, in addition to the green bottled beer of the same name, produces various Italian beers including Ichnusa. The Quattro Mori beer is increasingly appreciated in the peninsula, where it can now be purchased everywhere and not just in Sardinia as a few years ago.
