Today "377:" is released, the musical story of the "377 Project", an artistic, musical and anthropological journey undertaken by Sebastiano Dessanay through all the municipalities of Sardinia.

This is the sixth chapter of the solo discography of the Sardinian double bass player and composer who, between 2018 and 2019, made a stop in the centers of the island riding his bicycle, carrying a backpack and his low ukulele.

Each time he stopped, he composed unpublished fragments on the staff, recording the sounds of the places he visited, the voices of the people he met, studying and capturing the typical music of each area. Musicians such as the Australian pianist Peter Waters, the drummer Roberto Migoni, the guitarist Francesco Morittu, the saxophonist Emanuele Contis and the harmonica player Max De Aloe take part in the disc, created thanks to the crowdfunding project on the "productionidalbasso" platform. All enhanced by the collaborations with Su Cunsertu Bonarcadesu, Tenor de Orosei Antoni Milia, Ozieri Choir, Silvano Fadda, Nicola Loi, Giovanni Magrini, Michele Mastio, Tonio Stara, Piero Piras and Diego Deidda.

“It is my most important recording work - explains Dessanay - I wanted to pay homage to my land with music composed on site and inspired by the experiences lived during the journey that I define epic and of other times. A challenge, to seek and investigate the musical roots of my land ".

The music on the disc are arrangements and extensions of some of the musical fragments composed with the bass ukulele during the journey. "I chose those that describe well in music what I felt during the trip - underlines the composer - the enthusiasm of the beginning, the amazement in front of incredible scenarios, in front of nature, archeology, the melancholy transmitted by some small villages in the process of depopulation, the calm admiring some uncontaminated and sometimes desolate landscapes, the energy of the inhabitants of some lively villages, and also the sadness of some stories told ".
