There are 5,687 active female-owned businesses in the provinces of Nuoro and Ogliastra, representing 17% of the total number of women-run businesses in the region.
The impact on the local productive fabric reaches 24.3% in Nuoro and 24.9% in Ogliastra: values higher than the Sardinian average of 23.5%.
The data shows a 3.5% growth compared to 2019, bucking the national decline, with a strong presence in the agriculture sector (38% in Nuoro, 34% in Ogliastra) and personal services (22.4% in Nuoro and 13.1% in Ogliastra) . Tourism growth is particularly significant, with a 5% increase in Nuoro and over 20% in Ogliastra.
These are some of the figures that emerged during the conference "Weaving the Future. Women and Businesses as Ambassadors of the Territory," promoted by Confindustria and hosted in the Chamber of Commerce conference room. The event was attended, among others, by Regional President Alessandra Todde.
The conference focused on the testimonies of six female entrepreneurs. Special attention was given to the artisanal sector, with its production of traditional sweets and carpets, and to the agricultural sector, which is growing in Ogliastra. Among the sectors, personal and care services are also growing (+22.4% in Nuoro, +13.1% in Ogliastra).
The strong presence of individual businesses (80% in Nuoro, 77% in Ogliastra) coexists with a significant growth in joint-stock companies (+25.6% in Nuoro, +44.6% in Ogliastra), a sign of a process of structuring and professionalization.
