"The center-right intends to continue working as a coalition and has consequently confirmed its unwillingness to support a change in the electoral law in a proportional sense".
This is what we read in a joint note at the end of the meeting, defined as “cordial”, which took place between the leader of Forza Italia Silvio Berlusconi, of the Lega Matteo Salvini and of the Brothers of Italy Giorgia Meloni.
The three met at Villa Grande after the blow taken in the municipal elections. Three different souls of the center-right (the “draghiana” embodied by Silvio Berlusconi, the opposition one by Giorgia Meloni and the one with a foot here and a foot there by Matteo Salvini).
"In a climate of maximum collaboration, after a careful examination of the electoral results and the causes that determined them, the leaders have established that from now on they will have periodic meetings, on a weekly basis, to agree on shared parliamentary actions", reads still in the release.
"With this same spirit, the center-right intends to move compactly and in time to prepare the next electoral and political appointments, with particular attention to the election of the next President of the Republic".
