Silvio Berlusconi praises the Draghi government and, what is rare, does not sink the blow against the 5 Star Movement, which he has always criticized ("A Mediaset would clean the toilets", he even said long ago).

In an interview with Tempo, the leader of Forza Italia also defended citizenship income, a symbolic measure of the pentastellates in the government, which is being discussed by many in view of the launch of the new maneuver: "The amounts that have ended up in the clever ones they had no right - explained the Knight - they are very little compared to the situations of poverty that income has finally gone to counter ".

As for the executive led by Draghi: "The judgment is very positive", underlined Berlusconi. Adding: "This is an emergency government, which we were the first to propose, with two objectives to be achieved: to fight the pandemic with a vaccination campaign capillary and restart the economy by making the best use of the resources of the NRP ". Of course, "the problems to be faced remain enormous, but we can be satisfied with the work done so far", continued the former premier.

Berlusconi also returned to the hypothesis of seeing Draghi moving from Palazzo Chigi to Colle. In recent weeks he had highlighted that according to him the former ECB number one would have been much more useful to the country as prime minister. Now he says: "Any question on this issue is premature and answering it would be disrespectful, both towards the President of the Republic in office and towards the work of Draghi himself".
