The long-awaited film “Berlinguer. The Great Ambition”, coming out in theaters on October 31, will have a preview on the Island in the presence of the actor Elio Germano – who plays the politician from Sassari in the film – and the director Andrea Segre. The first appointment is for Tuesday, October 22 at the Cityplex in Sassari , with five screenings in two theaters, the first at 4:30 p.m., then at 6:00 p.m., at 7:00 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. The last one is scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday will be the turn of Cagliari , at the Odissea cinema. The screenings are scheduled for 6 and 9 pm.

The film, distributed by Lucky Red, opened the nineteenth edition of the Rome Film Fest, which will run until October 27. It tells the public and private biographical story of the leader of the PCI, in the period from 1973 to 1978. It is a Vivo film and Jolefilm production with Rai Cinema, in co-production with Tarantula and Agitprop.

The cast includes, in addition to Germano who plays Berlinguer, Stefano Abbati (Umberto Terracini), Francesco Acquaroli (Pietro Ingrao), Paolo Calabresi (Ugo Pecchioli), Roberto Citran (Aldo Moro), Pierluigi Corallo (Antonio Tatò), Nikolay Danchev (Leonid Brezhnev), Svetoslav Dobrev (Todor Zhivkov), Luca Lazzareschi (Alessandro Natta), Lucio Patanè (Gianni Cervetti), Andrea Pennacchi (Luciano Barca), Paolo Pierobon (Giulio Andreotti), Elena Radonicich (Letizia Laurenti), Fabrizia Sacchi (Nilde Iotti) and Giorgio Tirabassi (Alberto Menichelli).
