The Museum of Comics and Interactive Design is ready to make a decisive leap in quality and is a candidate to become the center of excellence for all Sardinian enthusiasts. With this ambitious goal, the Norbelese municipal administration has chosen the best, signing an agreement with Bepi Vigna , an expert and well-known cartoonist, as well as director of the Hybris Association - International Comics Center based in Cagliari.

He was entrusted with the artistic direction of the events of the Museum itself. «The annual planning of events, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, meetings with authors - explain the mayor Matteo Manca and the councilor for Culture Simona Mele - is entrusted to the International Comics Center, while the Pro loco will be responsible for the management of the spaces of Norbello".

In short, the agreement has the aim of promoting narrative through images, boosting cultural tourism, as well as enhancing the work of local authors. The start of the collaboration has already allowed the setting up of the " Originalia" exhibition, which will see a series of valuable original comic strips and several cels (acetate cels) on display, made for important animated films. The works on display are unique, they belong to the collection of Raffaele Piras , a retired doctor and owner of a real treasure trove of comics, and to the International Center of Comics.

"Those who visit the exhibition - explains Bepi Vigna - it is as if they were admiring works of art and paintings of inestimable value". The inauguration is scheduled for next Sunday 20 November. The Midi, for the occasion, has completely reorganized its spaces in order to make them more functional.

The exhibitions will continue to be hosted in the premises of vico San Giovanni, but for the future the creation of a library-newspaper library is being studied, in collaboration with the Multimedia Archive of the Imaginary, dedicated to publications of comics and illustrated books, where other initiatives, conferences and exhibitions of an educational nature can also find venues. For this purpose, Casa Marceddu has already been identified.

Satisfied with the path started by Raffaele Piras, owner of 5000 illustrations and many number 1s, among which the first Corriere dei Piccoli of 1908 stands out. «The project started thanks to the decisive contribution of fellow citizen and friend Mario Medde who had solicited in the Region for the financing of the museum ».
