Not just Italian and mathematics. At the Othoca high school in Oristano we also talk about recent events that occurred in Sardinia. Like the story of a young shepherd who is sentenced to life imprisonment for a massacre he didn't commit and who has to wait twenty-five years before a lawyer believes his innocence, and another eight to be freed.

On Saturday 1st June, Beniamino Zuncheddu and Mauro Trogu will be guests of the school to present the book "I am innocent" to the students .

« Telling the children Beniamino's story - explains the lawyer Mauro Trogu - is a fundamental stage in our journey , which did not end in the courtroom but which continues to try to do justice to a man from whom everything was taken away, unfairly." «Our school has this story very close to its heart - underlines the director Franco Frongia - not only for its human side, but also for the legal one. In fact, we are the only scientific high school in Oristano where Law is taught, a fundamental piece in the educational path of our children."

Antonio Ignazio Garau, translator of the wiretaps used in the trial, will dialogue with the students , underlining how «this occasion will give the students the opportunity to discover one of the most serious errors of justice in our country, a story made of silences and immobile time, but also of seeking the truth and tirelessly fighting." The event will be held in the school's main hall, starting from 10.15am.
