Two more bronzes for Italy at the Winter Games, with the blue Davide Ghiotto finishing in third place in the 10,000 meters fast skating competition and a splendid Dorothea Wierer winning the medal in the 7.5 km sprint women's race in biathlon.

Ghiotto finished the race at 12'45 "98, setting the new Italian record and finishing third at 15" 24 from the Swedish Nils Van der Poel, who dominated the test with the world record. Silver to the Dutch Roest.

Dorothea Wierer after the team medals conquers the first individual Olympic podium of the blue women's biathlon behind the Norwegian Roeiseland and the Swedish Oeberg. Great test at the shooting range, with zero errors, the Wierer was fast even on skis.

The medals won by Italy at the Beijing Games are therefore updated at 10.
