Serie A Q8 Beach Soccer raises the curtain on the 2026 season, and it does so with an immediate focus on Sardinia. Castelsardo will officially open the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti championship, hosting the first stage of the 23rd edition of the tournament from May 30th to June 2nd. The new season was presented at Esperienza Europa's "David Sassoli" headquarters in Rome, in the presence of institutions, partners, and representatives of the Italian beach soccer movement. The event symbolically marked the beginning of a new journey on Italian beaches, combining sport, tourism, and local development.
Much attention has been paid to the inaugural event in Castelsardo, its first ever appearance on the official LND circuit. The northern Sardinian town will immediately host the Scudetto Round and the final of the men's Super Cup, becoming the first major stage of the summer of 2026. This choice confirms the League's desire to focus on locations with strong tourist and landscape appeal, capable of combining sporting spectacle and local promotion.
During the presentation, LND President Giancarlo Abete emphasized the sport's growth: "Beach Soccer is now a mature sport, capable of consolidating itself over time and enhancing the territories that host its competitions. Roberto Desini, coordinator of the LND Beach Soccer Department, echoed this sentiment, describing a constantly growing movement: "We've received numerous requests from locations interested in hosting the tournaments. This is a sign of an increasingly attractive and competitive championship."
After its debut in Castelsardo, the circuit will visit some of Italy's historic beach soccer hubs, such as Terracina, Lignano Sabbiadoro, and Praia a Mare, before the brand-new Anzio and the Scudetto finals scheduled in Scoglitti from August 4th to 9th. The 2026 season thus confirms the evolution of LND Beach Soccer, increasingly structured thanks to the division between the Scudetto and Promozione pools, the growth of the women's championship and the Under-20 team, and a format that continues to engage local communities, fans, and new generations.
