The result achieved on the Polish parquet was therefore confirmed with the victory of Stettin 93-85 . The Bcl examined the facts and decided to reject the appeal of the white and blue club, signed by captain Stefano Gentile within 15 minutes of the end of the match.
With a statement, Dinamo explained the reasons that led to saying no: «For the BCL it was considered valid to have "remedied" the mistake of the first half where 21 minutes were played instead of 20, restarting the 3rd quarter 9 minutes. Furthermore, it was not a crucial moment of the match."
The coach Piero Bucchi had instead underlined how that extra minute had not been painless : the Sassari team had risen from 50-30 to 52-41. «We were going up, then something incredible happened, we were 11 points down, we ended up with 15 points and a 4-point game at the end, the referees let us play 21 minutes.
