Last weekend, Shardana Basket suffered its first defeat in Group B, in the North, of the Regional Division 2 basketball tournament. The Sassari team remains top of the standings. Sennori leads Group A. In the South, Cagliari Basket and Azzurra Oristano remain at the top.

South. Cagliari Basket and Azzurra Oristano's race for the top spot continues. The away wins in the final round proved decisive. Cagliari defeated Primavera Gonnosfanadiga 40-63. Oristano, meanwhile, prevailed in Iglesias 61-67, after a hard-fought match.

In the background, the match between Carloforte and Serramanna offered a great spectacle, with the home team winning 82-80 after overtime. After an initial tie (18-17 after 10'), the visitors took a lead before halftime (30-38 after 20').

The lead narrowed during the third quarter (42-45 at the 30th minute), until it was tied at 68 by the 40th minute. Overtime was tied point-for-point, with the home team winning at the final buzzer. Carloforte's team scored 27 points, notably Baghino. Condor Monserrato also won away at Antonianum Quartu, 68-72. The visitors were led by Locci's 28 points. Finally, the match concluded with a strong home win for La Casa del Sorriso, 64-50, against Settimo, and a resounding victory for CUS Cagliari against Marrubiu (84-48).

North. The second half of the season begins. In Group A, Sennori defeated Arzachena 68-58 and continued their solitary run at the top of the standings. The home team consistently led throughout the 40 minutes of play (a 16-point lead in the 30th minute, 55-39), led by Moscaritolo's 21 points. Mercede Alghero and Masters Sassari responded, trailing by two points (Sennori with 14, the chasing teams with 12). Alghero defeated Olimpia Olbia 80-61; Sassari, meanwhile, conquered Virtus Olbia 61-79 (thanks in part to Piras's 21 points). Finally, Accademia Olmedo secured its second win of the season, 83-72, against Nova Pallacanestro La Maddalena (top scorer was Pirozzolo, of Olmedo, with 17 points). Shardana Basket remains top of Group B, but suffered its first defeat of the season against Macomer 2.0 (58-76). It was a tough road game, both in Nuoro: Ghilarza defeated Pallacanestro Nuoro 60-89, and Dinamo 2000 defeated Ichnos 55-90. Finally, CMB Porto Torres secured a 75-46 home win against S. Elene.
