Federico Poggipollini's stage career spans over thirty years. He was the guitarist for Litfiba and is a member of Ligabue's band. He's also been a solo artist for some time. He'll be the star of Bari Sardo's New Year's Eve celebrations. He'll perform on the stage in Piazza Repubblica on the evening of December 27th.
Poggipollini won't be the only guest: the "Abbarì festival live music and show" lineup also includes performances by DJs Ellynora and Chicco Giuliani (Radio Deejay and M2o), who will entertain the audience late into the night; actress and comedian Alice De Andrè; and entomologist and writer Gianumberto Accinelli.
The event is organized by Ivan Mameli's administration, which, against a request for €100,000 in funding from the Region, received €111,000 (the highest amount in the Ogliastra and Nuoro regions).
The total estimated cost of the event is 203 thousand euros, 103 thousand of which will be paid by the entertainment agency subsidized by commercial partners.
"Bari Sardo's big end-of-year celebration," says Andrea Murru, Councilor for Events, "was born from the desire to create moments that bring people together: families, young people, those returning to the town for the holidays, and those arriving to discover the area. We're offering an event earlier than the 31st to avoid clashes with other events scheduled in the area."
The reference is to the show organized by the Municipality of Tortolì for New Year's Eve, when Benji & Fede will perform on stage in Piazza Rinascita. To avoid overlapping events, Bari Sardo decided to move the celebration forward a few days.
