Bandidos and Balentes, Mulas named Best Director at the European Film Festival

Praised for bringing Sardinian culture and language to the screen , Fabio Manuel Mulas continues to sweep the awards, receiving a further accolade for Best Director for his film “Bandidos e Balentes – The Unwritten Code” at the Europe Film Festival UK, the European film festival held in England.
A director, producer, writer, and screenwriter, Mulas, originally from Bono, boasts 194 film awards, including first prize at the Rome International Film Festival, Best Film at the Universal Film Festival in New York (action-thriller category), and awards at festivals such as Istanbul, Milan, and Alghero, which recognize his work and his representation of Sardinian culture, including awards for Best Actress (Katia Corda) and Best Original Score. He is currently filming the sequel "Bandidos e Balentes 2 - La resa dei conti," the new thriller he is shooting in various towns across Sardinia, from the island of Asinara to Ogliastra, and as far as Burgos and Bono, his hometown, where he received honorary citizenship from the local administration "for having brought prestige to the entire Bono community, earning prestigious national and international awards."
Regarding the award for Best European Director, Mulas said: "I'm satisfied and proud, and I hope that with the sequel we're shooting, Sardinia can shine even brighter on the world cinema scene."
