On the bad day of Gregorio Paltrinieri , Italy proves to be a great team and places an encore of golds by also winning the 10 kilometers of open water swimming after the triumph of “Greg” in the 5 kilometers.

The race is conquered by Domenico Acerenza (already silver yesterday in the 5 km) swimming in 1.50: 33. Silver and bronze for the two Frenchmen Marc Antoine Olivier and Logan Fontaine. Paltrinieri finished seventh, almost 40 seconds behind his teammate.

"It was really difficult. The first lap we skipped the supplies, the second there was someone in front but I didn't understand who it was, on the third I started to push. The sea didn't allow to swim very well. It was a struggle but I'm super super happy ", commented Acerenza.

Italy also medal in the women's 10 kilometers, where Ginevra Taddeucci wins silver behind the German Leonie Beck, bronze for the Portuguese Angelica André.
