Daniil Medvedev will be Jannik Sinner's opponent at the ATP Finals in Turin. The Russian lost in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) to the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz's victory definitively closed the doors to the possibility of Zverev qualifying, defining the red group ranking and therefore the semi-finals scheduled for Saturday 18 November.

Alcaraz, who won his group, will challenge Novak Djokovic, who came second in the Sinner group. The Italian will face Medvedev: he defeated him twice in the last few weeks in the finals in Beijing and Vienna, after losing all of the first six direct clashes.
