Athletes from all over Italy will be at Poetto Beach for the "City of Cagliari Triathlon."

The Cagliari City Triathlon will take place next weekend at Poetto Beach. This 2026 edition will feature an expanded version: on Saturday the 16th, the third Italian Inter-Force Triathlon Super Sprint Championship will also take place, sponsored by the Italian Defense General Staff with the logistical support of the Decimomannu Aerial Shooting Experimental and Standardization Unit. Participants will include the Armed Forces, the Guardia di Finanza, the State Police, the Penitentiary Police, and the National Fire Brigade.
The race will take place over the Super Sprint distance , with 400 metres of swimming, 10 kilometres of cycling and 2.5 kilometres of running, in the men's, women's, relay and disabled categories.
Also scheduled for Saturday the 16th are the youth races , which will determine the regional titles for each category. Sunday features the Sprint distance race, comprising a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-kilometer run, which will determine the overall regional title. Approximately 200 athletes from all over Italy are expected to compete.
