An important recognition for “La guerra di Cesare” , the first work by the Sassari director Sergio Scavio , at the Bif&st - Bari International Film&Tv Festival 2025.

The award for best actor went to Fabrizio Ferracane in the film's cast .

The feature film, supported by the “Sardegna Film Commission”, was presented in the competitive section Meridiana, reserved for works that interpret the social transformations of our time with originality and depth.

Filmed in the southwest of Sardinia, in the silent and suspended spaces of an abandoned mine, La guerra di Cesare tells the existential parable of two men – Cesare and Mauro – linked by a brotherly friendship and a common destiny marked by the collapse of the world of work.

A story of loss, struggle and attempts at redemption that turns into an inner journey, an act of rebellion and awareness that finds a powerful and universal setting in the Sardinian province.
