Prehistory meets artificial intelligence. At the National Archaeological Museum of Nuoro, the protagonist isn't a new find, but a voice from 3,800 years ago: Sisaia, the woman who lived in the pre-Nuragic era in the Lanaitho Valley, is now "reborn" as an interactive chatbot capable of communicating with visitors.

The project, created in collaboration with the Inoke company, will be presented on Sunday 26 October together with the new website and the museum's renewed visual identity .

Through an artificial intelligence system, Sisaia provides information on the archaeology of Sardinia and the finds exhibited in Nuoro, where his remains discovered in 1961 are also preserved.

"The chatbot," explains museum director Antonio Cosseddu, "draws only from certified scientific sources, thanks to our collaboration with the Italian Institute of Prehistory and Protohistory (IIPP). It's a way to make dissemination more accessible, but also more rigorous."

The museum is also looking to the future with "Nova," the creative marathon organized in collaboration with Bam! Cultural Strategies, involving 15 young volunteers from across Sardinia. From October 24th to 26th, they will work to define a new, contemporary profile for the museum. Their proposals will be unveiled on Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Sisaia will not remain just a chatbot: it will take shape in videos and animations for children, like a young woman crossing the Lanaitho Valley amidst landscapes and animals from another era.

A cultural and technological challenge: in Nuoro, the past speaks again—literally.
