At the Antiquarium Turritano the sound of Pinuccio Sciola's stones

The work, by the Sardinian artist Pinuccio Sciola , one of the many that bear witness to his original creativity, arrives in Porto Torres , at the Antiquarium Turritano national archaeological museum .
A presentation by his daughter Maria Sciola , present together with her brother Tommaso to tell of her father's significant experience, his predisposition for sculpture but above all for his ability to transform his native town, San Sperate, into a museum village at the open, "Giardino Sonoro", where he exhibited his murals and the so-called sonorous stones, the project that made him famous.
In Porto Torres he presented one of his sculptures , a keyboard in white Orosei marble , which vibrates and emits fluid sounds, born from the research on the relationship between art and nature to which Sciola has dedicated a large part of his life, bringing Sardinian culture into world.
On the occasion of the end of the conference SoNos de Pedra with the contribution of the Turritan artist Cinzia Porcheddu, her student, who closed her exhibition "Anime Liquide", Maria Sciola illustrated the volume dedicated to the master of the art entitled " Pinuccio Sciola . The teacher, the master, the man ”, a series of testimonials from his pupils, judgments that are sometimes severe but expressed with esteem and respect for the one who has known how to involve young people by teaching them the craft art and thus trying to relaunch it.
«Since 2016, the year of his death, we have given life to the Pinuccio Sciola Foundation», explained his daughter Maria, «pursuing the design idea of a “SantArte” festival which according to my father should be celebrated every day of the year, because it is the only thing that would save man from flattening his mind». During the presentation, the images of a documentary on his most famous works . «Sardinia is a natural sculpture in the center of the Mediterranean», Sciola said «it is the island of stones, a unique eco-museum». The Antiquarium will host an exhibition dedicated to the figure of the great master, an exhibition in his homage, an idea shared by the Councilor for Culture, Maria Bastiana Cocco and the museum director, Stefano Giuliani. «We agreed to present my father's work in this space full of history and tradition, because it reflects our origins», said his son Tommaso, «but it is also an opportunity to talk about culture in a more than suitable as the Antiquarium Turritano».
