We'll never know what Brutus and Cassius actually said to each other over Julius Caesar's corpse. But a variation on the theme like the one proposed in "You Too?" is another story entirely.

The show based on William Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar," produced by Deamater and directed by Nicoló Columbano (who also stars), is one not to be missed: tomorrow at 9:30 pm in the evocative setting of the Nuraghe Albucciu in Arzachena, where a reinterpretation of the original score will take place. But that's not all.

In "You Too?", Nicolò Columbano and Silvano Vargiu take us into the beating heart of an eternal night as Brutus and Cassius, who confront each other before Caesar's dead body. This time, however, everything changes: what if Brutus had not handed the body over to Mark Antony for the funeral oration? What if the Caesar assassins had hidden it in the bowels of the palace? Here Brutus and Cassius, "brothers" in the ideals of political life and now also in the death of Caesar, "father of the state," clash in the suspended time of a long night of vigil, amidst dilemmas and feelings of guilt, over the true nature of power until the dawn of a new day. Until Brutus, perhaps, finally manages to deliver his speech to the people.

The text delves into the human obsession with domination, the fear of choice, the price paid for freedom. "A space suspended between morgue and altar for a profane liturgy. The dead body of Caesar. Brutus and Cassius confront each other in a dialogue that becomes struggle, nightmare, confession, ritual, memory, condemnation on the sense of guilt, on freedom, on being children, on the meaning of history. Waiting for dawn. For a new day. Or another night."

The event is part of the Ama Auditorium's summer theater season and the official 2025 Events program of the Municipality of Arzachena . Ticket holders for the performance will be entitled to an audio-guided tour of the Nuraghe Albucciu from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
