The VII International Artist's Book Exhibition was organized by the Friulian Committee DARS (Women, Art, Research, Experimentation), an organization born in 1979 thanks to the innovative work of illustrious personalities such as Elsa Buiese, Dora Bassi, Nevia Benes, Maria Teresa De Zorzi, Isabella Deganis, Giuditta Dessy and Gina Morandini.

The protagonists of the initiative were the students of classes 2G and 4G, Figurative Arts - Sculpture, of the Liceo Artistico “Figari” of Sassari who participated with their works in the prestigious event, comparing themselves with students, professional artists and academics from different European countries.

The young artists involved are Chiara Matta, Vanessa Muglia, Paola Porqueddu, Eleonora Ortu, Mattia Lubino, Dafne Matta, Diletta Fraghì, Giulia Andrea Pau, Chiara D'Amato, Andrea Gallu, Manuel Doppiu, Marianna Lizzeri, Francesca Chindemi and Rob Sanna. For the students of the Liceo Figari, the result obtained was particularly flattering: all the works presented were published in the official catalogue of the exhibition, confirming the quality of the work done.

A special recognition went to the work “Ricordi ritornati”, created by the students Andrea Pau and Diletta Fraghì of class 4G, Sculpture major. The jury highlighted the work for "the delicacy in the treatment of the theme, between personal reminiscences and hints of current events, thanks to an evocative and technically effective reuse of vintage material".

The school principal Mariano Muggianu took part in the event for the delivery of the catalogues , underlining the importance of occasions like this one to valorise young talents and promote the creativity of the students of the institute.
