Sardinia is told through traditional costumes at one of its exceptional gateways and transit hubs: the airport. Olbia's Costa Smeralda Airport hosts "Trame di Sardegna – From the Blue of the Sea to the Red of the Earth" until December 31st.

Held at the Art Gallery, the exhibition, promoted by the Associazione Accademia Sardegna nel Cuore with the support of In.Ser and funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, tells the story of the island through threads, colors, and ancient traditions. Open daily from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, admission is free. Schools can also book guided tours and dedicated educational programs.

In the exhibition, tradition is not presented as a static element, but as a living and evolving heritage, where the deeply pleated skirts, the finely decorated velvet bodices, the hand-embroidered shawls and the filigree jewels become instruments of a journey through time, capable of evoking stories, identities and values.

"Trame di Sardegna" thus represents a bridge between past and future: knowing and understanding these traditions means protecting them, promoting them, and making them accessible to travelers, those who live on the island, and, above all, to new generations, in line with the mission of the Accademia Sardegna nel Cuore.

The association was founded with the goal of preserving and preserving the cultural heritage of the land of the nuraghi. It is committed daily to the careful promotion of Sardinian roots through research, collection, and study of clothing, accessories, and artifacts that tell the story of the lands and the people who inhabited them. It also preserves and disseminates Sardinian culture through collaboration with collectors, artisans, families who hold ancient knowledge, and scholars who dedicate their work to the island's material culture.
