Eleven musicians together to pay homage to their colleague Giuseppe Fadda , the cellist from Sassari who passed away last year at the age of 55 , violin and cello teacher at the Olbia civic school.

The Ars Musicandi Ensemble celebrates the professional musician, member of the chamber ensemble, with a concert within the ancient walls of the basilica of San Gavino, the splendid thousand-year-old church which hosts some musical events in Porto Torres organized by the Musicando Insieme Association.

The orchestral formation composed of Marco Ligas koncertmeister - solo violin, Gavina Lupinu, Vittorio Vargiu, Alessandra Cocco and Alessio Manca - violins, Donatella Parodi, Maria Vicentini - violas, Francesco Abis, Roberta Botta - cellos, Sergio Fois - double bass, Laura Lambroni - harpsichord, will perform tomorrow, Thursday 8 August, at 9.30pm with a repertoire of the music of Antonio Vivaldi and J Sebastian Bach , one of the most influential composers of all time.
The concert, included in the rich calendar of the 19th edition of Musica & Natura, offers a cultural project with a strong impact, a musical experience capable of transmitting immortal songs to the public and the desire to keep the memory of his friend-colleague Giuseppe Fadda alive. The Ars Musicando Ensemble, founded in 1994 within the "Musicando Insieme" Association, has lent its work to the creation of concerts in collaboration with other associations and bodies, including the Vercelli Quartet society, the Ponchielli Theater of Cremona, the Superintendencies for Archaeological Heritage and Environmental Heritage for the Provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, the Asinara National Park Authority, the Italian Institute of Culture and the House of Italians in Barcelona, the National Federation of Sardinian Clubs in Spain. Various conductors and soloists collaborate on the programming of the Ars Musicandi, mainly oriented towards a careful study of the baroque repertoire.
